Loving God, Loving People, Changing Our World

The Audio/Visual Ministry enhances the worship service by setting the mood with good sound and visuals. We desire to spread the word of God by creating quality Sermon Media including CD'sand MP3's of our services.

We are looking for those who desire to continue to learn, who are team players, and most of all are committed to do their ministry. It does not mean you have to start out knowing anything about A/V, just have a learning attitude and a willingness to be lead. If you are looking for a ministry where people are going to recognize all your great efforts and God given talents, then this is probably not the ministry for you. And that is the way we like it because if they do notice us, we are probably doing something wrong.  See schedule

What is asked of those serving in the A/V Ministry?
We ask for 7 things:

  1. Be committed. - Be where you are scheduled to be, doing what you are scheduled to do.
  2. Be on time. - On time is 8:30am each Sunday morning for Technical Rehearsal and at least 10 minutes before services start.
  3. Be ready to learn.Even if you think you know what you need to know.
  4. Be flexible.
  5. Commit to at least one year of service.
  6. With #5 said, know your limits. - If you realize this ministry is not where God wants you, talk to Jan Schranz our Media Technology Specialist about it, webmaster@ramothbaptistchurch.org.
  7. Most important, remember that this is not merely a task or job, it is a MINISTRY.
We are really striving to have the attitude that any ministry is more than a volunteer position. In fact, God never made announcements asking "Do I have a few volunteers to go and make disciples. If so, please sign-up in the foyer on your way out." Oh no... God said: "Go and make disciples." No volunteering, no sign-ups, just go and do it. That is what we are looking for in the A/V ministry. People who know that this is their "Go and make." People who are serving God, not volunteering for the church.
Maybe you are not sure if God is calling you to serve in this ministry. Please allow us to help you discover the answer to that question. Serve with us on a trial bases. You will know soon enough if God is calling you to serve in A/V. If not, we would be glad to help you find your ministry.

Thanks for looking into Ramoth Baptist Church and our A/V Ministry, if you want to learn more about this ministry, contact Jan Schranz at webmaster@ramothbaptistchurch.org or Lynn Embrey, Director of Music Ministry, embreys3@gmail.com .
